Trois pièces, opus 32, pour quatuor d'anches doubles
You were mad to compose a doublereed quartet in 1949 ! Or you were a pionneer... For you were sure there was no quartet of that sort to perform it. So your work was condemned to be buried the very day of its birth. You had to write it only for pleasure.
But this is an old story ! Now quartets including an oboe d'amore do exist. The work is very lively, with a beautiful second movement.
