WESTMOUNT CHAMBER MUSIC WOOKSHOP (WCMW) : Faculty Concert in Montréal

The "Petite Suite pour cordes et piano" op. 13 (Editions Europart-Music, Ligugé, France) written by the french composer Maurice Journeau will be performed in Montréal on Sunday AUGUST 13 th, 2023, at 5 p.m.. And within the official WCMW FACULTY CONCERT of the professors, also chamber music concertists. The annual "Westmount Chamber Music Workshop" (August 13 - 20), with an excellent teaching level, was founded in 2015 by the violinist and artistic director Mana Shiraishi, soon to be heard in Journeau's piano and strings quintet. A work first performed in Canada!

Programme : Myslivecêk ("Trio pour violon, violoncelle et contrebasse") - Lehàr ("Fantaisie hongroise" op. 45) - Journeau ("Petite Suite pour cordes et piano" op. 13, c. 1929, in three parts: "Conte","Elégie", "Valse") - Ravel ("Trio pour piano, violon et violoncelle").

Interpreters : Mana SHIRAISHI(violin) - Katarzyna FRAJ (violin) - Nicolas COUSINEAU (cello) - Marcin GARBULINSKI (double bass) - Martin KARLICEK (piano).
