On radio ACCENT 4: "Nocturnes" for piano Op. 62, 63, 65

December 11th, 2019 à 7.36 pm

The six "Nocturnes" for piano were composed in Paris, but at two different times. The first three nocturnes indeed were written in 1957. But the last three ones in 1975 and 1979. Maurice Journeau loved these six night-pieces and played them much in the evening after work. The well-kown pianist Jean Micault, Professor at the Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris and at the High Conservatory of Sarrebrück loved them too, so as to be the first artist to perform them and record them later.
