On radio Accent 4: "Petite Suite pour cordes et piano" op.13July 29th, 2018 à 2.11 pm
Maurice Journeau left us many chamber music works : duets, a piano trio, a string quartet, quintets with or without piano, a sextet with a solo violin. A genuine, typical french 20th century music, just as foreigners enjoy abroad. The "Petite Suite pour cordes et piano" op.13 (A Small Suite for Strings & Piano) was written at the sea-side in Le Touquet-Paris-Plage in the north of France. Published by Europart-Music in France; it is not the most important composer's work, but perhaps the most required and always loved by listeners for its dreamy, cheerful atmosphere.
