February 4th, 2013 à 2.58 pm"Accent 4" is a french radio broadcasting classical music in the East of France and also abroad on internet via its website Accent4. Thus it gives an easy access to many recordings of classical music by good interpreters.
Maurice Journeau's "Sonate pour piano et violon opus 6" was writen by the sea-side, in Biarritz, in the basque Country where he was born and lived in the first part of his life. It is a work full of movement, just like the Ocean he contemplated everyday. Cathy Cousin, the pianist, and his husband François Goïc discovered it and recorded the work for the composer's Centenary in 1998, this one appreciating their excellent interpretation.
