A concert in the Castle of Blois by the "Musiques d'avance" Ensemble
June 7th, 2011 à 8.30 pmA concert of classical chamber music in the Castle of Blois by the "Musiques d'avance" Ensemble
Blois is a touristic place to be visited in the Loire Valley, like Chambord and Cheverny, owing to its touristic castle, old churches and green surroundings. The "Musique d'avances" Ensemble (composed by professors of the Conservatory of Music) cannot dream of a better setting than the lighted castle at night for its evening concerts much attended by the public of the town and around. A place which regularly welcomes the french composer Maurice Journeau's chamber music works (trio, quintets, sextet), an author recorded in 1998 for his Centenary by the violin & piano duet of Cathy Cousin and François Goïc, well-known in this french region of festivals.
This time, the following works are to be performed:
- "Sonate a quattro"n°1 for strings by ROSSINI (1804)
- "Quintet "La Truite" for strings & piano by SCHUBERT (1819)
- "Petite Suite pour cordes" opus 13 for strings and piano by MAURICE JOURNEAU (1929)
(free entrance)
