"Midi aux champs - Pastorale" for orchestra

Maurice Journeau's orchestral work is drawn from his piano work bearing the same title, composed on July 1943 in Normandy, by a very hot Summer in Verneuil s/Avre. It was written by the composer on a holiday taking place in the "Maison des Champs" belonging to a college of Normandy, the formerly original, famous "Ecole des Roches" where studies, sport and games, craft were equally practised in a family-like climate.
